I am CELEBRATING International Women's Day by sharing with y'all 10 of my FAV Women Owned Businesses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
This by NO MEANS is a complete summary or in any kind of order at all. AND if you have additional suggestions, please feel free to connect with me on social media - I'm all ears and just like you, love learning about new places!
So... without further delay, let's get this party started!
1. THAT GUMBO LIFE
This magical place is located in Gautier, Mississippi. It is a wonderland of antiques, refinished projects and gifts. Their Facebook page is one of my favorite accounts to follow because not only do you get a taste of the owner’s fun personality and passion for her work, you also get to see some of the projects in process and things available for purchase around the shop. They ship from all over too so if you are not local, you won't miss out!
2. Fallon's Gourmet
If you follow me on social media, you know that Fallon's has one of my FAVORITE chicken salads EVER! Not only does Fallon's have the nicest owner - Fallon, they have phenomenal food. From their take and bake items (get the chicken and rice casserole) to their lunches, you cannot go wrong. She also offers catering and shares the daily menu on the Fallon's Gourmet social sites. Great, now I'm hungry! LOL! :)
3. IDR Agency - Insurance Done Right
Insurance is one of those things that no one is excited about paying for, but it's a necessity in today's unpredictable life, and especially down here on the MS Gulf Coast, with the dreaded - H WORD! Thankfully, we have Courtney and her amazing team. She makes insurance-ing fun. I hope that starts to become a word. She truly cares about her clients and her Coastal Mississippi community and it definitely shows. I'd recommend you visit for a quote.
4. Purpose by Ang
Getting healthier isn't just about exercising and eating right, to me, it's about BODY AND MIND and Angela with Purpose by Ang, practices just that. She is a health coach that offers so much more at Purpose by Ang. She holds weekly video chats with amazing people sharing their inspirational and motivational stories and teaches you ways to work in healthy foods, moderate exercise and even provides some other tips for self-care. It's a refreshing and delightful take on a health coach. Follow her social channels to catch the video schedules that are posted.
5. The Hue Hair Studio
My go-to place to get GLAM! The Hue Hair Studio, which I recently did a #vlogvideo on, is such a fun place and almost a one stop glam shop. The owner Brandy is so talented and has done so many phenomenal hair transformations - just check out one of mine in that pic in the top right. Whoa. So much more healthy looking. She provides me with advice on products and answers my questions with thorough explanations. She is a wizard when it comes to color, cut and style but has most recently expanded into microblading. Her salon also now offers wax, manis, and pedis. PLUS, while you are waiting for your hair to process, you can check out the selection of items from small shops around the Coast.
6. Gulf Coast Produce
Probably not something you'd expect to see on a 10 fav countdown, but I love having this resource in Coastal Mississippi. They not only provide this service to the yummy MS Gulf Coast restaurants but also the locals - even through services like DoorDash. I love following them on social media because of the things I learn about fruits and veggies! I also can stay up to to date about any pricing or supply issues happening around the world.

7. Moxie Shop
A boutique in Downtown Ocean Springs?! Uh, sign me up! This fun little boutique is for plus size ladies and ALWAYS has amazing pieces. Aside from plus size clothing, they also have accessories, jewelry and shoes! You can shop online or in the store and if you are on FB, I HIGHLY recommend you join the Moxie VIP group - there you will see all of the latest styles posted and even HOT sales! Almost every piece of clothing listed is pictured on the very sweet and stylish owner, Crystal who DEFINITELY has an eye for fashion! Now queue the makeover montage music, because I think I need to visit!
8. The Meeting Place
This cozy place in Downtown Biloxi is a neat take on the traditional office space. The meeting place offers remote workers, entrepreneurs, youtubers, etc. a place to work. You can join to use the common area for that big paper you are working on, to upload a video or even to step away from remote working at home. There are also options to rent full offices if you need your own space. Have a meeting with someone from out of town? They have a beautiful conference room for that. With a clean workspace, smart design, and fiber internet, this place is a dream! Call for a tour!
9. Robin's Nest
Robin's Nest is a beautifully curated gift shop located in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Bringing together hand crafted pieces and coastal decor, this place is a treasure trove of goodies. They also stock the ever popular Oyster Tree (pictured above!). Such sweet owners will make sure you find the perfect gift/item. I really adore their coastal decor - it's one of my favorite collections on the coast.
10. Georgia's Corner Market
Last but definitely not least is Georgia's Corner Market. This hidden gem is off the beaten path in Vancleave, Mississippi, my hometown. They are cooking up casseroles, breakfast delights and also have a collection of locally sourced food and treats. I've visited Georgias for a #vlog so be sure to check that out. I've scooped up ice cream, a cooler sandwich, and dessert here so far, but if I had to pick one item to recommend, it would be the Cinnamon Rolls. BEST. CINNAMON. ROLLS. EVER. You can usually get them on the counter or in the take and bake cooler. Either way, you can't go wrong. And exciting news, they JUST started offering dinner and I can only imagine what fresh and creative dishes they will be serving up.
